We are a happy, friendly, caring, nurturing and busy school where we seek to go ‘Beyond Expectations’ in all we do. We are a large primary school, with approximately 400 children on roll. We are part of the Aspire Multi-Academy Trust – a group of 8 schools who share a ‘Take Care’ ethos and vision. Our core purpose is the Profound Personal Development of our children. We have a clear ‘Values Based’ approach to learning and through our exciting and creative curriculum, both in and out of the classroom, we can truly say, ‘It’s Never Boring Here’. There is always plenty going on in our school.
We are looking for an exceptional Reception Class Teacher to join our Kirkby Woodhouse family who can bring the following:
• Hard-working, dedicated, strives to be the best they can be and has high expectations of themselves and their work.• Aspirational, motivated and has a drive and passion for teaching and inspiring children.• Enthusiastic and has a positive work ethic.• Excellent communicator, respects others and can work as part of a team.• Exceptional classroom teacher, with a sound knowledge of EYFS.• Provides nurture, care and a warm nature for children in EYFS.• Fosters positive and excellent relationships with parents.• Committed to fostering a love of learning, intrigue and excitement within our children. • Welcomes the opportunity to continually develop and improve their own practice and access relevant continued professional development.• Committed to fully embrace the ‘bigger picture’ of our school, which will involve leading extra-curricular clubs, being part of and attending school events and bringing ideas and suggestions to enhance what we already do.
In return, we can offer you:
• A friendly, hard-working and supportive staff team to work alongside.• Continued professional development that will support the growth of the role.• Well behaved children who have a love of learning and enjoy being inspired and engaged.• Chance to be part of a vibrant, busy and pro-active school.• Opportunities to work with and learn from other colleagues across the Aspire MAT.• Our last Ofsted inspection in June 2023 judged us to be ‘Good with Outstanding features’
As a staff team, we are extremely proud of this achievement. We would welcome a new member to our team who is up for getting stuck in and working together as part of the whole staff team to provide our children with the opportunities and experiences that they deserve.
The role would suit an ECT or an experienced main scale teacher. If you think Kirkby Woodhouse School sounds like the place for you, we would really like to meet you.We strongly encourage potential applicants to come and meet the Head Teacher (Mrs Jones) for an informal discussion and a tour of the school.
