Early Years Teaching Assistant

At King Edwin Primary School, we know that the foundation of a child’s entire education is built in the Early Years. Our EYFS setting isn't just a classroom; it’s a world of discovery, curiosity, and rapid growth. We take our responsibility to our youngest pupils seriously, ensuring their first experience of school is one of wonder and positivity. 

We are looking for a dedicated, creative, and highly skilled Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. We need a professional who understands that "play" is extremely valuable and who has the energy and insight to turn every interaction into a learning opportunity. The EYFS environment requires a specific blend of nurturing care and sharp educational instinct. We want to hear from you if: 

• You are an early years specialist: You have a deep understanding of the EYFS framework and a 
  passion for child-led learning. 
• You see the learning in everything: Whether it’s at the sand tray, in the mud kitchen, or during a 
  phonics session, you know how to scaffold a child’s development in the moment. 
• You are a communication champion: You understand the vital importance of speech and language 
  development and can model high-quality interactions that expand a child’s vocabulary. 
• You are resilient and proactive: You thrive in the fast-paced, often messy, and unpredictable nature 
  of Early Years. You see a need - be it a wet coat or a frustrated child - and you step in with a smile. 
• You build strong bridges: You recognise that for many parents, this is their first step into the school 
  system. You are a warm, professional point of contact who builds trust instantly.
