Class Teacher - Maternity Cover

We are looking for a Maternity Cover Class Teacher who brings strong classroom practice and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. This role is ideal for a teacher with proven practice who can establish a calm, purposeful, and inclusive learning environment. You will bring a thoughtful and proactive approach to classroom management and confidently use positive strategies to promote excellent behaviour for learning.

A clear understanding of inclusive teaching is essential. You will be skilled at identifying and addressing diverse needs within your class, including children with SEND. You will work closely with colleagues, support staff, and families to ensure all children are included, supported, and challenged in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the diverse needs of all children
  
• Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity and enthusiasm
  
• Assess and track progress, providing feedback to support development
  
• Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour
  
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practice

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards
  
• Delights in being with children and puts their wellness first
  
• Has strong behaviour management strategies and a calm, consistent approach
  
• Makes learning fun, engaging, and challenging for all learners
  
• Brings fresh ideas and shares and collaborates with colleagues
  
• Values every member of the school community and contributes positively to team culture
