There is an exciting Assistant Accountant opportunity available in the Finance team at County Hall, West Bridgford, Nottingham in the Adults Social Care finance team.
Your work will support budget managers over several teams within the Adults Social Care directorate. You will be assisting with budget monitoring, as well as day to day finance tasks within the service, along with providing financial advice where it is appropriate. You will use your excellent spreadsheet skills to assist in analysis and reconciliation of complex data which will assist decision making in the service.
The finance team is close knit, with excellent support, and you will be making a difference for people in the county. You will have achieved a full AAT qualification or equivalent with experience of working in a financial environment, preferably public sector, with a range of financial systems and processes.
You must be able to manage your own performance to meet objectives and provide an excellent customer focused service. The ability to work on your own initiative, pay attention to detail and understand and interpret information is essential, as are good communication, interpersonal and excel skills.
