As a Family Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring families with identified needs receive appropriate support services. Your work will span from conception until children reach the age of 19, delivering tailored interventions and evidence-based parenting programmes. You will help families navigate challenges, keeping children safe and fostering their growth.

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Deliver and review a range of family support services within the home and community.
  • Provide one-to-one support to families, ensuring they receive the right help at the right time.
  • Implement evidence-based parenting programmes and interventions tailored to individual family needs.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to create a supportive network for families.
  • Maintain accurate records of your work and progress, ensuring transparency and accountability.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Health and Social Care, Childcare or a related field (NVQ Level 3 or above).
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working with children and families.
  • Knowledge of child development, family systems, and effective intervention strategies.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
