Christ Church CofE Primary School is a rapidly growing primary school located in the heart of the community. Since recently moving to our brand-new school building on the Middlebeck development, we have grown from less than 50 pupils to over 200 pupils – and are destined to steadily keep growing as the Middlebeck community continues to be built over the next decade or so. We will eventually become a 2.5 form entry school with almost 600 pupils, including our own on-site nursery.
The school has a strong Christian ethos, with close links with the local church and with the Diocese of Nottingham and Southwell. We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our team and help ensure that lunchtimes are safe, happy and well organised for all children.
This is an important role within the school, supporting pupils in the dining hall and outdoor play areas, promoting positive behaviour, ensuring children’s welfare and safety, and helping to create a calm, enjoyable lunchtime experience. You will play a key part in maintaining high expectations and supporting children to flourish socially as well as academically.
We are looking for somebody who:
• enjoys working with children and can build positive relationships with them• can encourage good behaviour and support children in a calm, consistent and caring manner• is vigilant, responsible and committed to keeping children safe• can work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues• has good literacy and numeracy skills and the confidence to carry out the practical duties of the role• understands the importance of safeguarding and is willing to undertake relevant training
