We have an exciting opportunity in the Youth Service participation team for a Youth Work apprenticeship. The youth work apprentice scheme has recently started, enabling you to become a professionally qualified JNC-recognised Level 6 (degree level) Youth Worker. The apprenticeship course will last for 3 years, and the training will be a mixture of regular online lessons, course work and on-the-job training. Alongside this, you will work as part of Nottinghamshire County Council Youth Service. On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be guaranteed a permanent position. This is a countywide role and will involve travelling to various settings, there will be times when you will need to attend events and projects. The post holder must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle to fulfil these roles. Disabled employees who are unable to drive because of their disability will be able to use taxis to carry out their duties.
Key Requirements
UK nationals or other persons with a right of abode have eligible residency status if they have been ordinarily resident in the UK or the British Overseas Territories, or the Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for at least the previous 3 years on the first day of the apprenticeship.
