Quality & Contracts Officer

We are excited to offer the opportunity for a Quality and Contracts Officer to work at this time within the All Age Care Homes Team. This post also is a county wide post so you will be required to work across all districts.

The Quality and Market Management Team manage contracts on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council for Care and Support Services and monitor the quality of service delivery with providers. You will need to have a good understanding of the basic principles of contract management including an overview of the contract management cycle.

• Has experience in the Adult Social Care Sector (front line workers or contract management)  
• Is passionate about quality assurance, provider engagement, and service development.  
• Wants to expand their expertise in contract management and the Commissioning cycle.  

   QMMT - All Age Care Homes Team - Key responsibilities include:  

• Manage a portfolio of contracts and formal agreements with adult social care providers.
• To manage the above through audits and contract management escalation process where required.
• Monitor provider’s performance and compliance with contractual and legislative standards.
• Monitoring and reporting on effective quality assurance and contract compliance using KPIs.  
• Maintaining and develop effective working partnerships and communication with service providers and stakeholders.  
• Monitoring provider quality and performance against contractual expectations and sector best practices.  
• Monitoring and analysis of intelligence from multiple sources, acting upon and recording outcomes, formulating a risk profile for individual Service Providers.  
• Develop risk profiles for service providers based on data and intelligence.  
• Provide a weekly update to the wider team on Suspensions / Risks / Concerns / Visits and any Good Practices identified.  
• To maintain systems for the monitoring, evaluation and review of the quality and performance of services.   
• Ensure accuracy of work undertaken and information provided.   
• To ensure that correct processes are being followed and to report to the appropriate manager so that required actions can be followed up as necessary.  
• To participate in decision making, negotiation and problem-solving processes both internally and externally.   

Skills and Attributes Required:  

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.  
• Ability to produce quantitative and qualitative reports.  
• Strong understanding of adult social care legislation, CQC standards, and best practices.  
• Experience in quality assurance, audits, monitoring, or compliance frameworks.  
• Analytical thinking and the ability to assess risk.  
• Good working knowledge of safeguarding, person-centred care, and inter-agency collaboration.  
• Confidence working independently but escalating concerns where required.
