A secondment opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band B Social Worker to join the Newark and Bassetlaw Older Adults Service as a Peri Social Worker. Candidates should be HCPC registered and have good knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 as well as other legislation, policies and procedures relevant to Adult Social Care.      

In this role you will focus on adult safeguarding work and be responsible for:

  • Conducting adult safeguarding enquiries.
  • Report writing.
  • Attending safeguarding meeting and safeguarding conferences.   
  • Working with team colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Undertaking mental capacity assessments.
  • Maintaining a high standard of case recording.
