An exciting career development opportunity has arisen for appointment to the new fixed term post of Group Manager for Reablement. You will provide leadership and management to the Council’s Short Term Assessment and Reablement Service Team (START) services for Nottinghamshire. START aims to maximise the mobility, independent living skills and confidence of people who may need this short term support, for example, following a period of ill health.

The Department has plans to build on its successful Re-ablement service and has already started to implement a major transformation project to deliver additional capacity and a therapy led approach in the service. This new time-limited role is vital in leading and managing these changes. The Reablement Group Manager will be responsible for embedding and developing a culture of continuous improvement, leading by example with motivation and engagement with change.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Group Manager who has the motivation, skills and experience to work with the Project Team and lead START through this transformation phase, embed the new operating model across the county and transfer the service back to existing Group Managers from April 2020.

For an informal discussion please contact Sue Batty on (0115) 9774632 or Rebecca Croxson on (0115) 977 2189

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
