Ashfield and Mansfield CMHT are looking for two enthusiastic and highly motivated, qualified social workers. The successful candidates should have an interest in, and preferably experience of, working with individuals aged 18-64 with mental health needs and their carers.This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist team offering assessment and commissioning support to people experiencing mental health difficulties in the community and in planning their discharge from mental health hospitals.You will be working in accordance with the Care Act; Mental Health Act; Mental Capacity Act and carer legislation. Good communication, time management and IT skills are essential.

Other key areas of work for the team are Adult Safeguarding and Mental Health Review Tribunal work. Experienced candidates would be expected to undertake these areas of work whilst newly qualified candidates would be expected to work towards these tasks with appropriate support. The successful candidate will be working in an exciting and sometimes challenging multidisciplinary environment which will require high levels of confidence and independence. The applicant will either hold or have an interest in undertaking training to become either an Approved Mental Health Professional or Best Interest Assessor.

You will receive regular supervision and have access to appropriate training and opportunities for personal development.
