Are you looking for a rewarding but flexible work opportunity in Residential Services?

Our services provide vital social care support to older and disabled people across Nottinghamshire. Can you help us during the coronavirus crisis?

We are looking to recruit a number of Relief Senior Night Care Workers who are able to work in one or more of our services in north and mid Nottingham. The services are based in Worksop, Rainworth and Ollerton and require senior relief staff who can manage the shift through the night.

As a Relief Senior Night Care Worker, you’ll provide care and support as required during the night to individuals staying in our services. You will supervise the rest of the shift and allocate tasks to Night Care Workers. You will be required to administer medication and act as the lead in an emergency. The shift runs from 8pm-8am or 10pm-7am.

In return, Nottinghamshire County Council offers fair and competitive rates of pay, a good annual leave allowance and excellent training and development to support with your career development.

If you are looking for flexibility in working hours, then this will be a great opportunity for you. Experience as a senior is not necessary for this relief role if you have proven experience as a care worker; however, experience in a more senior position will put you at an advantage. What is necessary are the right values, behaviour and attitude towards working with people experiencing illness or disability.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
