The Pensions Office is responsible for providing the administration of members benefits within the Local Government Pension Scheme in Nottinghamshire.

You will be responsible for providing technical and regulatory assistance to the Senior Practitioner in the understanding, interpretation, development, testing and application of technical and regulatory information in relation to the scheme. This will include: assisting in the provision, formulation and checking of manual benefit calculations held within the Pensions Administration system; developing and updating pension fund communications material; assisting in the interpretation of new and existing rules and regulations and supporting the Senior Practitioner to manage responses to complaints and queries from members.

You will also provide first line support to the Technical & Communications Officer and be required to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme along with associated legislation, as well as provide advice and assistance to colleagues within the Pensions Teams.
