An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person to join the Corporate Business Support Service at County Hall providing specific support to the Adult Social Care Transformation Team. The team you will be supporting is responsible for developing and coordinating the work of Adult Social Care and partners across the county providing services to the people of Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to provide support to the team in carrying out its responsibilities. A large part of the role is to help organise meetings and support events so you will need to be a well organised individual who is able to plan ahead. You must be flexible and able to prioritise your work to meet deadlines and be able to communicate with people at all levels across organisations.

You will need to have good literacy skills, excellent communication skills and possess good IT skills across the Microsoft platform - including Sharepoint - although training on specialist software will be provided.

The role is based within County Hall and is managed by the Corporate Business Support team which provides support to all departments of the council and so provides an excellent opportunity if you are looking to start your career in administration or wish to develop your skills in a new area.

A general understanding of a Social Care environment may be useful but not necessary in this role.

Initially as a 12-month contract, this may be an excellent secondment opportunity for internal staff who have gained prior consent of their own management.

For an informal conversation or more information please contact Carmel Clarke (carmel.clarke@nottscc.gov.uk)

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.
