Christ Church C of E Infant/Primary School (VA), Victoria Street, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4UT
IPR 17 to 23

The governors of Christ Church C of E Infant/Primary VA School are offering a unique opportunity for a very special person.

Have you ever envisaged building your school from the ground up? If so, then we are presenting you with the chance to make that vision a reality.

In the spring of 2021, we start to build a brand new school sited in a new housing development. It will open initially as a Group 2 primary school with the potential to grow into one of Nottinghamshire’s largest schools with 630 pupils.

Currently, Christ Church C of E is a small, Group 1, infant school in the centre of Newark. Your post would start in January 2021 after the school becomes a primary school. The primary school is due to transfer to the new site and buildings in September 2021.

Therefore, from the outset, the post offered is for a Group 3 school with an IPR of 17 to 23. This will be renegotiated as the school expands.

The governors wish to appoint an exceptional leader to inspire and establish a school that will provide an outstanding experience for our pupils.

Are you:

  • Able to embody and promote a strong Christian character and demonstrate effective school leadership?
  • An extremely experienced and inspirational primary senior leader with genuine flair and drive?
  • Passionate about raising aspirations for all the children in our community?
  • Committed to developing an outstanding staff team?

We do not expect visits prior to your application but would be very happy to welcome you to our school. To visit please contact the school office on 01636 680051 or email office@christchurch.notts.sch.uk and we will arrange for you to meet with a member of the governing body.
