We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced teacher, as soon as possible, to an established and successful Cognition and Learning Team, part of Nottinghamshire’s Schools and Families Specialist Services. You would have experience as a SENCo, Family SENCo or District SENCo in Nottinghamshire.

You would take the lead role in providing and coordinating support to District SENCos and Family SENCos in order to strengthen provision for pupils through the maintenance and development of the Family of school structure across Nottinghamshire. The District SENCos sit within specialist strand teams and are managed by Locality Leads. You would maintain a coordination and overview across the districts and localities of the District SENCo work and support for the Family SENCo structure, whilst also having casework on the Cognition and Learning Team.

You will oversee activities such as the induction and development of District SENCOs through strategic meetings, support for District SENCOs in planning and delivering Family SENCO networks and other locality meetings, quality assuring the decisions arising from district level moderation and co-ordinating strategic initiatives. You will play a key role in interpreting district data and providing training.

You will be based with a very supportive team and working across the County as required. Your base will depend upon the needs of the team. The post carries an authorised car user allowance.
