This is an excellent opportunity to join Nottinghamshire County Council's Fostering Service and make a positive contribution to the recruitment and retention of foster carers in the service.

We are looking for enthusiastic, team-orientated people, who have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and are able to build effective working relationships with foster carers and colleagues alike.

We are looking for applicants who can be flexible, multi-task, work to deadlines, sometimes work outside of office hours, and undertake work in the community when needed.

You must have a driving licence and access to a car (taxi transport may be available for a successful disabled candidate).

It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of ICT systems. You will be educated to GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths, or be able demonstrate evidence of competency to this standard.

You will receive regular supervision and be part of a supportive team environment, working in different contexts primarily to recruit and retain foster carers.

You will be supported to continue to develop your skills and knowledge.

For an informal discussion about this post please contact Fostering Team Manager, Ian Tabberer, on 07753 630072.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
