The Catering & Facilities Management service are looking to employ an additional cleaner at the Holgate Academy, to further enhance the cleaning standards within the site with immediate effect. The successful candidate will be required to work a total of 11 hours per week, Monday to Friday. All annual leave must be taken during school closure periods.

We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working in a busy environment as part of a school focused team and who is able to communicate at all levels. Experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be given. Duties will include: vacuuming, washroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing of furniture and window cleaning, plus occasional use of electrical cleaning machinery i.e. buffing machine and wet pick-up.

The successful candidate will play a vital role as part of a team of cleaning staff. This post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative, and you will be expected to programme your daily routine to meet the needs of the site. Protective clothing and other PPE will be provided as required.
