Class Teacher

Halam C of E School is a highly successful and forward-thinking school with a recent outstanding SIAMS rating and a good Ofsted rating. The governors wish to appoint a maternity cover to teach a combined year 3 and 4 class to join our small but highly committed team from January 2020 for up to one year.

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate the ability to accelerate children’s learning through careful assessment, clearly targeted feedback and inspirational teaching.

• Hold high and clear expectations of the pupils in terms of their academic progress, social wellbeing and a clear approach to teaching combined year groups whilst maintaining high levels of challenge.

• Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Have a great sense of humour alongside a flexibility and willingness to join in with all aspects of school life.

• Be committed to supporting and contributing to our school ethos of ‘Life in all its fullness’.

• Have knowledge of how to lead a curriculum area.
