A secondment opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic motivated individual to join the Leaving Care Service as a Personal Advisor in the North team at Ollerton.

The post will offer the opportunity to gain insight into the role, without committing to this on a long-term basis and will allow you to develop skills in this area should a permanent post become available. Applicants will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to form positive sustainable relationships with a diverse group of young people.

You will have your own caseload of young people aged 16 to 25 and will be expected to support care leavers into adulthood providing a range of practical and financial support. This will involve advocacy, negotiation and working with other agencies and colleagues to ensure young people’s needs are met. You will be committed to supporting young people to reach their potential. You need to be able to work independently (with ongoing support and supervision being provided) and be part of a very supportive team.

This post is available as a secondment only and you must seek approval from your line manager before applying.

Applications will be made using an abbreviated application form below.
