The Youth Service Countywide Team are looking to recruit a Voluntary Sector Technical Specialist to cover maternity leave from the 12th July 2018 to 15th April 2019. This will be a full time post. The post holder will be required to work across Nottinghamshire to develop voluntary sector provision for children and young people along with identifying areas of need within localities. The post holder will offer support and guidance in policy documentation, accessing funding and training, networking, programme/organisational planning, face to face delivery and DBS checks.

The post holder will gain experience of working with a wide range of voluntary sector organisations to develop new or existing play or youth work opportunities. The post holder will also support The Communities Team with the, newly formed, Local Improvement Scheme (LIS) funding. This will play a key role in this post and involves pre-visits and regular monitoring with groups in receipt of LIS funding.

The post holder will have relevant experience of working in a play, youth work or a similar environment with children and young people.
