Night care worker
The unit is based at Rainworth.Helmsley Road Short Breaks Service supports adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities – 18 to 65 and their carer’s. The unit has 12 respite beds on a planned basis.
This post involves working night shifts to cover between 10pm and 7am including weekends and Bank Holidays. The post involves provision of a wide range of personal care, implementation of individual support programmes with people enabling them to develop personal and practical skills. The role includes undertaking regular domestic duties during your shift to ensure high standards of infection control. You will be expected to contribute to written records and reports where required. A working knowledge of health and safety and emergency procedures is necessary. You will be expected to complete an induction and the care certificate and have, or work towards Diploma Level 3 Care with an expectation to attend mandatory training on an on-going basis. You will be expected to work in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
