Teaching Assistant Grade 3

Head Teacher: Mark North, Roll: 425 + 70 in nursery

Post begins 1st September 2018, 8:45am – 3:45 pm with 30 minutes for lunch, 2 days a week – Monday and Tuesday

The Governing Board of Richard Bonington Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary basis to be part of our close knit, hard working and friendly team. 

The successful candidate is likely to be working predominantly in Years 2 and lower KS2, though may also work with children in other year groups 

The role will primarily involve supporting pupils with a wide range of individual needs, and who occasionally present with challenging behaviour. Therefore, experience of working with children with such needs would be advantageous, as would experience of supporting children with autism. 

The successful applicant will also be required to provide support for pupils at lunchtimes. 

The successful applicant must be hard working and adaptable, and able to work under their own initiative. 

The post is offered initially on a one year temporary contract as the school currently has on role pupils who attract additional funding.
