This is a great opportunity for an experience Finance Manager to join the team at the Nottingham Academy, Greenwood Road.

The role requires someone who has strong knowledge of a finance function and experience of line managing a team. This is a service lead role, which requires a strong partnering approach.

The duties of the role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Management of the overall financial position of the Academy
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with Trust Accounting Policies
  • Supporting the Business Principal in the planning and setting the Academy’s annual budget
  • Budget Monitoring
  • Preparing monthly financial reports
  • Line Management

You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure. You will also be a strong team player with good organisational skills and the ability to use their own initiative to solve problems. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous. You will be a commercially orientated qualified professional with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work through complex problems. You will be analytical with a strong attention to detail, but also able to see the bigger picture.

Intermediate excel skills are essential; experience in a school setting would be beneficial but is not essential.

The Nottingham Academy is a multi-site academy with new and refurbished buildings, offering pupils and staff an outstanding learning environment. Each site is led by a Head of School with the Business Function across all sites being led by the Business Principal, in conjunction with the Lead Principal, Ged Rae.
