The governing body of St Mary’s CoE Primary School Edwinstowe are seeking an exceptional leader.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to really make a difference to the lives of the young people who attend St Mary’s now and in the future. We are looking for a leader who can take the school through its next phase of development as it converts to become a partner academy with the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust (SNMAT). As a leader you will receive very high quality support from the multi academy trust and will become a member of the SNMAT’s Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the evolution of a successful and growing MAT.

St Mary’s serves the large and popular village of Edwinstowe. The school has a very positive profile within its community and governors are looking for a head teacher who can continue and strengthen the excellent work of the current executive head teacher (in post for almost two years). This was a temporary arrangement to provide stability in advance of the appointment of a permanent headteacher. We are now looking for someone who can:

• Inspire pupils and staff to be the best that they can be
• Provide exceptional classroom teaching
• Focus relentlessly on raising standards through the improvement of teaching
• Instill a culture of high expectations
• Operate effectively in a complex environment with multiple partners
• Contribute to the development of SNMAT
• Promote Christian values within a Church of England Academy
