Grade F Points 14 to 19 (£27334 to £29777 Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £24,220.64.

Carlton le Willows are looking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer to join our academy as soon as possible, on a permanent, fulltime basis.

Carlton le Willows Academy has an exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated individual to join a friendly team of support staff, all working together in the best interests of our young people. As an Education Welfare Officer you will provide a valuable service to students and their families, ensuring that all students attend school regularly and therefore gain maximum benefit from their education.

Your new role 

As an Education Welfare Officer (EWO), you will provide a service for students and their families. You will ensure, with others, that students receive education appropriate to their needs by regular attendance at the academy, assisting them to obtain maximum benefit from their education and be involved in the development of the service and staff.

Results

With a consistent record of high academic attainment, Carlton le Willows remains one of the top performing schools in the area. In summer 2023 78% of pupils secured a Grade 4+ in English and Maths and 55% achieved this at grade 5+. Across the board 76% of pupils achieved grade 4+ in five or more GCSEs and our progress score was +0.2 placing us above similar schools nationally.

A level students in our high performing sixth form achieved a 100% pass rate in 2023, with the average A level grade a B-, retaining our reputation for academic excellence post 16.
