Bassetlaw Ageing Well Community Assessment Team are looking to recruit an Advanced Social Work Practitioner (ASWP). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to progress and develop.  

You will be joining a well-established, friendly team of Social Workers, Community Care Officers and Occupational Therapists. The successful candidate will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme, access to training, and other professional development opportunities to enable them to fulfil this role.   

As an ASWP you will be expected to;

  • Have a minimum of 2 years Band B Social Work experience
  • Have a Social Work Qualification recognised by Social Work England. Registered with Social Work England. Approved Adult Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) or Approved Mental Capacity Professional (AMCP) Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator (Level 2) or have evidence of relevant post graduate study   
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and offer support to the Team Managers within the service and Bassetlaw district 
  • Supervise staff and promote the continued learning and development with individual staff and the wider team  
  • Have a positive focus on working with partner agencies and integrated Health and Social Care Teams
  • Have the ability to be resilient and effective in supporting staff and managers, adapting to pressures and change  
  • Have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills 
  • Manage a small complex caseload, including Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity and Best Interests Decision work
