Adult Social Care and Health

We are looking to recruit applicants for the above post to join the Adult Access Service based at the Piazza, Annesley. You will be a committed, well organised and motivated person ready to join our busy team.

Nottinghamshire County Council is managing demand for Adult Social Care at a time of unprecedented financial pressures, demographic change and significant new legislation.

The Adult Access Service is at the forefront of Adult Social Care Health and our role is significant in resolving enquiries for the people of Nottinghamshire in relation to Social Care, OT, Benefits and Carers. We work closely with our MASH colleagues in the same building, Customer Service Centre staff based at Mercury House, colleagues in district and specialist teams, health staff and the voluntary sector.

You would be joining a dedicated group of individuals with a vast amount of knowledge and experience with varying qualifications. You would be providing advice, information, resolving contacts and updates thus reducing the need for extensive community care and OT assessments, scheduling, completing assessments, reviews and minor amendment to packages. You would be expected to work in other areas of the team when requested to meet the needs of the service and support will be provided.

We are office based and the work is completed over the telephone. You will require good communication and strong IT skills. We will offer you regular supervision, support and the opportunity for training and personal development.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
