One post will be based at our permanent summer camp at in the grounds of Thoresby Hall called 'Camp Redwood'. Here, you will assist in all aspects of providing Safe and Enjoyable residential experiences to the visiting groups. Although the activities here are less adventurous, qualifications are still important as there may be times when you will be asked to cover sessions at The Mill. 

The other two posts will be based at The Mill Adventure Base where you will be part of a small team offering curriculum linked outdoor activities to young people from schools/groups visiting our successful and well-regarded facility operated by Nottinghamshire County Council. The centre is located within Kings Mill Reservoir Country Park on the banks of the reservoir. You will be enthusiastic, flexible and outgoing, with a range of expertise/experience in outdoor education, holding national governing body qualifications in at least one land based (climbing) or watersport (paddlesports). A full driving licence which allows the driving of group vehicles and trailers (D1+E) is desirable, but not essential.

There will be overnight work at both sites, but this will be more regular at Camp Redwood.

Safety is of the utmost importance and you must have a good understanding of risk management in an adventurous activity context, there will be a familiarisation and induction process to undertake before you start.
