We wish to appoint a qualified, highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with Young children with severe and complex needs from birth to seven years in a variety of environments including family homes, Early Years settings and mainstream schools. Support will focus on advice, support, training and direct individual teaching and modelling to meet children’s needs.

You should have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience of which at least 2 years should be working with children with a range of SEND. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum as well as a variety of small steps teaching programmes.

The Early Years Team support children with a variety of complex needs including SEMH, cognition & learning and communication & interaction needs so extensive knowledge and some experience in these areas is essential, as is an ability to develop excellent working relationships with parents/carers, other professionals and colleagues.

The base and district will be determined upon the appointment of the successful applicant. However, you will also need to be prepared to work in other areas of the County in accordance with Service need.

Please note this post requires Enhanced DBS clearance and you will not be permitted to commence work without this. The post also carries an Authorised Car User Allowance so you must hold a full driving licence and have daily access to a vehicle.
