The Big House is an eight bedded home providing overnight short breaks for children and young peopole with significant learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviours. 

We are looking for inspirational individuals who have the right skills and knowledge to work with the most vulnerable service users, meeting their physical, emotional, health and personal care needs.  You need to be motivated, caring and committed to meeting the needs of the children and young people as well as having the ability and resilience to work in what can be a very physically and emotionally challenging environment. You need to have experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting or similar role. The role involves working shifts over 7 days a week including bank holidays. Morning shifts start at 7am to 2.30pm and the late shifts are 2pm to 9.30pm/10pm with occasional sleep in duties.

You will be required to hold key working responsibilities, building, maintaining and developing in depth care plans.  You will also be required to lead a team of staff ensuring all the children and young people's care plans are adhered to including the administration of medication.
