An exciting opportunity has become available at our outstanding village primary school for a suitably qualified SEND teaching assistant and Afterschool Provision Leader. 

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting and leading on SEND provision, to join our dedicated team and work alongside the school SENDco. 

We would love to hear from someone who has experience of supporting children with a range of complex special educational needs and is confident in dealing with challenging behaviours. This person will share our commitment to developing the best possible learning environment, in which all children can fulfil their potential. We are looking for someone who will bring a sense of energy, enthusiasm and passion to the role; is talented at building relationships, is a good communicator and is calm, compassionate and considerate in their approach. 

The role:

• Supporting the SEN teaching and learning throughout school alongside the SENDco and Mental Health Ambassadors. 

• Classroom based small groups and intervention teaching. 

• Supporting pupils with social development and general life skills through lunchtime and extended provision.

• Planning and delivery of an inclusive afterschool provision.
