Our portfolio is significant – the Council occupies over 1,100 sites including schools, libraries, social care buildings, county offices including County Hall, youth clubs, and smallholdings. 

The total annual running cost is in excess of £30m per annum and the total value of the corporate estate, encompassing land and buildings is in excess of £700m. This value includes all locally managed schools (excluding academies).

We expect to see over 60,000 houses and nationally significant infrastructure built in our County, we would see you bringing development of our own land, and assets forward, both at pace and scale.

Reporting to the Director of Growth & Investment, you will have the responsibility for planning and managing our land and property as a corporate resource and have overall responsibility for the Corporate Property Strategy, the Property Asset Management Plan and the Service Asset Management Plans.
