Family Support Champion for January 2021.

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, caring Family Support Champion to join our happy, hardworking dedicated team of practitioners from January 2019 (Working in Key Stage 2).  We are a large primary academy, currently with 420 full time children on roll as well as our 80 place Nursery.

Family Support Champion role is to contribute to the sustained improvement in levels of attainment of pupils in Greenwood School by:

  • Facilitating and promoting an effective partnership between families and school.
  • Enhancing the provision for the emotional, social, creative and intellectual development of pupils both in and out of school.
  • Leading training for parents and carers
  • Ensuring excellent attendance- promoting the benefits, monitoring attendance and supporting those with low attendance to improve
  • Designated Safeguarding officer- attending Safeguarding meetings, liaising with all stakeholders to produce accurate reports and effectively communicating with relevant school, social care and health professionals as well as parents
  • Children in Need Champion – Monitoring and supporting children whose families are experiencing difficulties
  • Working with our Pupil Premium Champion to improve attendance, achievement and aspirations of pupil premium children (1 day/week)
