County Hall West Bridgford is main location, however postholder will also spend time in offices where teams are based across the south of the county. Flexible hybrid working from home is available with an expectation of 3-4 days per week in the office.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an aspiring manager. The temporary role of Group Manager, Ageing Well South Nottinghamshire is now available due to the substantive post holder successfully attaining a secondment opportunity for a year. The Ageing Well Service is seeking a leader who is skilled at integrated working with partner agencies and who understands the need to co-produce our support offer at all levels with the people who draw on our support, their carers and families. This role requires someone who is motivated to build on the Department's success to date in improving personalised, therapy led strength based social care practice and support our teams to consistently work at the level of the best.

As temporary Group Manager for Ageing Well Community Services in South Nottinghamshire you will lead our commitment to improving the lives of older people. You will line manage teams of social workers and occupational therapists developing multi-disciplinary working and community assets. You will have a minimum of three years experience of service delivery on adult social care, a record of leading change to improve our services and experience of management and supervision of staff. The Department is committed to hybrid and flexible working including face-to-face working, focused on where this has evidenced benefits of being more effective, for example, team meetings, supervisions, visits to teams/services and inducting new staff.

This opportunity comes at a time of change and service redesign to develop an all age model of place based community social work and therapy teams. So please note that this role is currently subject to the first Phase of the Departmental Group Manager portfolio redesign and therefore the role is initially available for three months until until the 1st June when the Group Manager enabling process will be complete. Depending on the outcome of this there will the be opportunity to extend the role up to the 31st March 2025.
