This is an exciting opportunity for a Contract Officer to join the Commissioning and Contracts Team, based within Children and Family Services. You will have responsibility for the contract management of a range of externally commissioned providers of Alternative Education placements.

You will have a high level of personal drive, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a range of stakeholders. Experience of developing and managing contracts and the ability to understand contractual terms and conditions is essential to the role, along with knowledge and understanding of the principles relating to customer care; budget management, commissioning and procurement and data management.

You will plan and deliver an annual programme of reviews of contracts and take action where necessary to drive service improvements. You will also design services and create service specifications.

As teams are split between two bases, you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. We allow out team members work flexibly, working from home or different County Council buildings.
