Nottinghamshire County Council has been named the country’s most improved County Council in services for older people and people with disabilities (report by iMPOWER Consulting, 2018). We are looking to recruit qualified Social Workers to join our pool of committed and professional staff who can be called upon to fill our vacancies and join our Adult Social Care teams. Our vacancies span across all districts in Nottinghamshire and include working alongside our community of older and younger adults as well as specialist services such as learning disability and hospital based teams. If you are newly qualified or an experienced Social Worker we would welcome you joining us on our journey to ensure individuals are given the chance to live as best they can.
You will be qualified and registered with the HCPC or have applied for registration. You will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with good communication and decision-making skills. You will have a sound knowledge of current legislation and its application to practice in a social care setting. You will be able to apply consistently high standards to provide good quality care to people accessing our services.
You will have experience of working with members of the public, with the ability to carry out assessments and respond to complex needs. You will be a reflective practitioner and have a commitment to supervision and professional development.

We hold interview panels for this post every two weeks. Your application will be reviewed as soon as we receive it for consideration at our next panel.
Applicants will ideally already be on the DBS Update Service; if this is not the case Nottinghamshire County Council will carry out a DBS (police) check prior to starting. Due to the nature of the vacancies signing up to the update service would greatly assist candidates in ensuring the immediate up take of roles, if not already signed up to the service this can be done within 30 days of the DBS at the candidates own expense.
