We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who can support the education of children and young people with physical and mental health needs when they are unable to attend mainstream school for an interim period. This is a cross phase post and you will be expected to support pupils across a range of curriculum areas although your area of specialism will be acknowledged when cases are allocated. This is a peripatetic post and will involve you in working in a range of possible settings including pupils homes, hospitals, libraries, neutral settings as well as on line and occasionally in the HRET base. You will need to build positive relationships with the pupils and their families as you will be supporting them at what may be a very difficult time. Previous experience of working with SEND pupils and those with SEMH needs will be an advantage.
Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
