Grade: 4 or 5 dependant on experience

Start date: ASAP.
We are looking for that special person who is ready to take on an exciting challenge. You will work with all stakeholders and raise the profile of the school in the community, organise events, visits and visitors for our well deserving pupils who want to have fun whilst learning and develop their character along the way.
We require a confident, enthusiastic, mature person to join us as we begin to follow the roadmap to easing the lockdown restrictions. For this role, we’re just looking for the right person. If you’ve already got experience and qualifications in events management and communications, then we’d love to hear from you. If you’ve got no experience but are a natural communicator who displays creativity and a passion for the role, then we’d love to hear from you too. This is a job where you can make a real difference!
You will need to ensure the logistics of all events run smoothly from planning to the completion of the event itself.
You will need to have the gift of the gab as money is tight and we will need to seek some financial support, Good time management, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks will be important
You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
You must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families and have the desire to enrich their lives in any way possible.
Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Liaison with class teachers to identify visits and visitors needed
  • Sourcing a range of visits and visitors to support the curriculum
  • Marketing and promoting your events
  • Managing and growing a portfolio of events
  • Organising visits –coaches, bookings, letters to parents
  • Completing risk assessments
  • Developing links and raising the profile of the school within the community
  • Developing links with families, liaising with the PTA and organising whole school events
  • Sourcing grants to support events
  • Keeping the website/Facebook pages updated advertising, promoting and celebrating events
  • Work with the children to create blogs and vlogs which can be shared with families and the community via Twitter and the website
