The Design and Build Team, based at Mercury House, supports the organisation in terms of accessing services, improving processes, driving self-service, customer journeys and service design.

Could you be a part of this focused and respected team, working with professionals from both across and outside the authority, looking to provide innovative and creative solutions to enhance the experience of customers, both internal and external?

We are looking for a Technical Specialist to join the team on a 12-month secondment/temporary position. You will be responsible for application maintenance and technical support for a number of systems including, but not limited to, govService, Rostrvm and My Notts App. You should be a confident IT user with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will provide advice, guidance, support and training to staff and officers across the authority and support Business Partners in the implementation of process design. You should thrive in working collaboratively, and on your own initiative, and be driven to seek constant improvement in new and existing work. An eye for detail is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with officers, partnership organisations and members of the public. A passion for technology and driving your own knowledge is crucial.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
