We are looking for flexible, enthusiastic team players to join our dynamic Trading Standards Service to help shape and drive our service forward.

Centrally located and with great road, rail and air transport links, our historic county offers scenic countryside and bustling towns and surrounds the city of Nottingham itself, making it a great place to live in and fulfil your ambitions.

Nottinghamshire has a proud record in developing and advancing the careers of its Trading Standards Officers and Managers. As a large authority, we are well placed to provide a very broad range of experience coupled with great support and mentoring. We enjoy high levels of recognition locally, regionally, and nationally, and are proud to host the National Trading Standards Regional Investigations Team for the East Midlands.

We are at the forefront in developing the role played by Trading Standards, combining a range of innovative, problem solving approaches to protecting our communities, including major investigations and scams work, with a dedicated commercial team focussed on providing support to a large and growing number of businesses, many of whom are in Primary Authority partnerships.

You will be one of 6 Team Managers, who operate as one team responsible for leading and driving forward all aspects of our service, both tactically and strategically.  You will hold the DTS, DCATS or equivalent Trading Standards qualification and be able to demonstrate significant successful achievement across Trading Standards.  Previous animal health experience or a desire to train in this field is not essential but would be an advantage.

You will have excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, and will relish the idea of shaping the future of the service and helping us to grow in a fast-moving environment.

For an informal discussion call Mark Walker, Group Manager on 01159 772 173
