Assistant Accountant
This post is within the Financial Services Division of Nottinghamshire County Council and will be based at County Hall, West Bridgford, Nottingham. The successful candidate will be working within the Financial Strategy and Accounting team.
As part of the team, this post will provide you with the opportunity to manage the Authority’s capital forecasting process, work closely with capital budget holders and complete key returns to Central Government. This post will also give you the opportunity to develop your financial accounting skills by assisting with the final accounts process and attending CIPFA training events.
You will have achieved a full AAT qualification or equivalent with experience of working in a financial environment with a range of financial systems and processes. You must be able to manage your own performance to meet objectives and provide an excellent customer focused service. The ability to work on your own initiative and pay attention to detail is essential as is good communication, interpersonal and Excel skills. Further opportunities for training are available.
