Payroll Services Level 2 Assistant
As part of the Business Services Centre, you will undertake payroll administration carried out on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council departments, schools/academies and external clients in a timely and accurate manner.
This will include processing information on new starters, leavers and occupancy changes on the payroll system; creation of employee’s contracts.
Knowledge of Payroll processes including Tax National Insurance and Pension Contributions, and statutory provisions is desirable.
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, you must be organised, with a positive and flexible approach to teamwork. Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills are essential, as is knowledge of computerised/manual systems and business processes. You must be able to work to deadlines, in a logical and methodical manner, using your own initiative and be able to follow agreed procedures and guidelines, consistently achieving a high level of accuracy. An understanding of customer service and the boundaries of confidentiality is desirable.
