School Service Desk Team Leader
An exciting 6 month opportunity has arisen to work directly with the School Service Support Team within the Operational Delivery Group of ICT Services, reporting to the Commercial Support Desk Manager. You will undertake the role of Team Leader of the MIS (Management Information System) Team supporting our external school customers with their SIMS or ScholarPack MIS software. A prior knowledge either in a leadership capacity or supporting schools in a busy school environment may be advantageous in your contribution to the success of this opportunity.
We are seeking a self-reliant and well organised individual, able to manage an experienced and established support team. You will be required to explore and lead the team through a variety of work streams to ensure that a robust, reliable and value for money service is successfully delivered. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. You must also have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders both within the council and externally.
This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual with a high level of personal drive, commitment, resilience and flexibility. If you feel that you have the relevant skills and experience to cover this role we would be pleased to hear from you.
This post is also available as a secondment opportunity to existing NCC employees, who will require the approval of their current line manager prior to submitting an application.
Please note this is a re-advertisement and previous applicants should not re-apply.
For more information or an informal discussion about the role, please contact Sue Wright, Commercial Support Desk Manager on 0115 99 32742 or via firstname.lastname@example.org
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
