Casual Play Support Workers
This is an exciting opportunity for suitably experienced Childcare/Teaching Assistant/Care Worker professionals to expand their working opportunities and join the Play for Disabled Children Service - Young People Service Supply Bank.
Opportunities include working on a supply basis at Holiday Clubs (Notts school holidays), Saturday Clubs and support to daytime and overnight residential short breaks
You will work within a specialist play setting alongside an experienced team providing and adapting play/youth opportunities to meet the requirements of disabled children and young people.
Supply Play Support Workers require experience and training maintained in their substantive role in the following disciplines:
- Play, Childcare, Teaching Assistant, Youth or equivalent
- Safe Handling of people
- Behaviour Management (MAPA)
You will need to be available to work regularly, sometimes at short notice, be flexible, compassionate, be able to support and care for children/young people aged 5 – 17 years enabling them to access play, leisure activities and short breaks..
Due to the nature of the work, you should be aged 18 or over.
You will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
This is a rolling recruitment, interviews will be carried out on a regular basis as applications are received.
