An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Business Support Administrator to join the Business Support team which supports Adult Care Financial Services. This is on a fixed term contract until 28th March 2020.

The Adult Care Financial Services team have responsibility for a range of finance based processes around paying for social care services. This includes assessing how much people can afford to contribute towards their care and support costs, as well as processing Direct Payments to people who wish to commission their own care and support services or employ a Personal Assistant.  

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to undertake a range of administrative duties which will predominantly be linked to the work of the Direct Payments Team.  You will need to 

  • be methodical and well organised
  • have plenty of initiative
  • have a flexible approach to changing work demands
  • be solution focussed
  • have good problem-solving skills
  • demonstrate good communication skills
  • work well as part of a team 

Training will be given on all systems and aspects of the role, but you will need to be experienced in using a range of IT software including MS Excel.  You will also be proficient in inputting data accurately, as well as have sound numeracy skills.

You will be aware of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and acting within the General Data Protection Regulations.
