Fixed Term Commissioning Manager - Carers
The role of Strategic Commissioning within Nottinghamshire's Adult Social Care and Health department is to make available good value, strategically relevant services that promote health, wellbeing, independence and choice for the people of Nottinghamshire for service users opting for a managed budget as well as those using a direct payment or self-funding. Part of the role of commissioning managers is to ensure service user and carer engagement in service development and design. his role is hosted within ASCH but works across health and social care to deliver an integrated carers offer. We are a Commissioning Manager specifically to work on the carers agenda, funded for 12 months from the date of recruitment from the Better Care Fund.
Applicants should be educated to degree level and have at least 5 years experience of strategic commissioning within health, social care or housing together with experience of the management of staff. The applicant should have a good knowledge of current issues relating to Health and Adult Social Care and a good knowledge of the issues which affect people in a caring role.
