Development Control Principal Officer (3 posts)
The Place Department is seeking experienced, energetic and self-motivated Principal Officers with a strong background in Highways Development Control who will manage the delivery of the highways development control function within the county. There are three posts to be filled based at Ollerton and West Bridgford.
You will be part of a team working to meet the complex challenges of enabling development whilst ensuring that the highway network is managed in a safe and sustainable manner. You will have extensive knowledge of highways/transport and planning policy and law with up to date knowledge of issues relating to sustainable transport policy and highway design.
Ideally you should be a Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer (or equivalent) and have obtained a degree qualification (or equivalent) in civil engineering/transportation or appropriate discipline but proven relevant highways experience will be also be considered and should include a minimum of 10 years relevant highways experience of which at least 5 years should be in Highways Development Control
