We are looking to recruit a support foster carer(s) part time for a 3 year old boy with complex developmental needs. Child A is a very active little boy with lots of energy who enjoys spending time outdoors. He enjoys playing with dinosaurs and toys that he is able to problem solve with, in particularly shape sorters. He likes to watch Peppa Pig and Timmy Time.

Child A is a very endearing little boy, although he does display some challenging behaviours he is also very sweet natured and affectionate. He loves 1-1 attention, playing with his full time carers and reading books.

Support care can offer a break to foster carers and children when families need time to recuperate. You will provide short, regular periods of care such, regular weekends and possibly short breaks in the school holidays.

All foster carers are required to undertake training and an assessment as part of the approval process which takes approximately six months from date of application.

Experience of working with young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, either in a related professional context (e.g. teaching, youth work, social care) or as an experienced foster carer is desirable.

Nottinghamshire County Council will offer up to £600 per week pro rata (equivalent of up to £31k per annum pro rata). The financial package will be looked at as part of the assessment process and will be based on the skills and experience of the applicant and the needs of the child whom they are being linked to.
