Nottingham City Council is recruiting a Contract and Commissioning Officer to join the Children in Care Placements Contract Management and Commissioning function in support of a new Fostering and Residential Care Framework across the D2N2 partnership.
Supporting the four partnership Local Authorities – Derby City, Derbyshire County, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County Councils – you will coordinate contract management of the framework across the region, identifying and developing opportunities for efficiencies and service improvements. This will involve both the analysis of trends in usage and working with providers to promote on-going market development. Key to the role will be supporting operational colleagues from across the partnership to seek improved outcomes for children and young people and helping more young people to live closer to home.
You will need an understanding of the private market for fostering and children’s residential care, and of Local Authority commissioning and contract management. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with strong relationship management skills and the proven ability to collaborate and influence across the public and private sectThis an ideal opportunity for someone who is motivated and innovative, with strong contract management skills, to help to deliver the D2N2 partnership’s vision and improve outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.
